Donation: support scholarships
The Chinese University of Hong Kong Geography and Resource Management Alumni Association ("CUGRMAA" in short) aims to support the future development of our Department of Geography and Resource Management (GRM), students and Geography as an academic discipline. Through this platform, we hope to consolidate alumni’s effort to sustain the development of this place where we have been nurtured and grown up. To fulfill our mission, we would like to establish the “GRMAA Development Fund” under the Department to support various developments of the Department, such as various student scholarships and student activities.
With the support of our alumnus Mr. Hermann Leung (CC79), we launch the Matching Grant Scheme to encourage donations. This is a great opportunity to multiply your donation by obtaining 25% of the matched grant (i.e. $1 grant can be obtained for every $4 donation raised, with a maximum of $1000), if your donation in form of cheque can reach us by the end of December 2017. Let’s start our support to the Department by a humble donation of HK$100 towards the Fund.

Student scholarships
Our Department is in great need of student scholarships in both merit and need basis. Scholarships that count on outstanding academic or research performance to undergraduate and postgraduate students will be set up to encourage and award the students. Students with financial needs will be supported in order to lessen their family burden and enable them to continue studies.

Dr. Tam Sai-wing Memorial Fund (譚世榮博士紀念基金)
The late Dr. Tam Sai-wing was respected by geography graduates. Following his passing in 1980s, Dr. Tam Sai-wing Memorial Fund is set up to award the undergraduate students with outstanding performance in Geomorphology and in final year thesis. However, after many years of set up, the Fund has been almost exhausted. We shall continue to promote the interest of student in geomorphology and research, and inject donations towards the fund.
We count on your support to contribute our Department for enhancing geography education!

According to Clause 11.3 of the Constitution, donations to General Fund or Activity Fund once paid shall not be refundable and cannot be applied for tax exemption at this moment.
